Catamaran swap

You own a catamaran and use it a few weeks a year. The rest of the time it sits at the dock and keeps costing money.

The Seafolk is a club of owners who swap boats for a few days. It isn't a charter, and no money passes from one owner to the other.

How it works with a catamaran

• You list your catamaran with its details and photos, and the days you offer it. The club takes catamarans alongside sailboats, motor yachts and powerboats.
• You accept or decline every request yourself.
• Knots are the club's internal credits. They can't be bought or sold: you earn them when someone stays aboard your boat and spend them when you sail someone else's.
• To request a swap you need your own boat listed, with dates. With no boat listed you can't request any.

What is open today

• Staying aboard at the dock, and sailing with a professional skipper.
• Taking another owner's boat out on your own, with nobody from the boat aboard (bareboat), is closed for now. That goes for yours too: nobody will sail it alone.

Where the club stands

It's new and small. There are still few boats, so it can't be promised that a catamaran will be free on your coast. Whoever joins now is among the first, and the more owners join, the more there will be to choose from.

Joining

Founding place free until 31 Dec 2026: nothing is charged before then. From 1 Jan 2027, €90 a year for life. Founding places are capped at 1,000 boats.
