You have your sailing licence, or you're getting it, and no boat. Chartering is pricey and buying one is a different conversation.

The Seafolk is a club of owners who swap boats for a few days. It isn't a charter and no money passes from one to the other. This page says plainly what you can do in it today if you don't have a boat.

What there is in Ibiza and Formentera

In the ses Salines Natural Park, the sea between Ibiza and Formentera, you anchor only on sand; not over posidonia, and not in no-anchoring zones [1]. Ibiza's posidonia meadows have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999 [1][2]. Worth knowing before the anchor goes down.

What you can do today without a boat

What you can't do yet without a boat

Request a place aboard another member's boat. To request a swap you need your own boat listed, with availability dates: that is a condition of the club today, not a formality. With yours listed you will be able to request a place on someone else's: today, to stay aboard in port or to sail with a professional skipper.

Where the club really stands

There are still few boats: it can't be promised that one will be free on your coast tomorrow. The more owners join early, the sooner there will be something to choose from.
